Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the “Boy Chanel.” A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of glossy calfskin leather. This particular bag is the New Medium size of the collection and features a long Ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag.
The exterior is clean throughout but shows some scratches and indentations on the flap. There is some soiling on the flap as well that looks like faint water stains. The corner edges show light rubbing. The base and sides have creasing. The interior is clean with some light scuffs to the underside of the flap but overall it remains in very good condition.
